Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems is currently seeking an experienced Principal GNC Engineer to join our Launch Vehicles team in our Chandler, AZ office. Active Security clearance is required. US citizenship is required.
Role description & Responsibilities:
- The Principal GNC Engineer will perform analysis, design, or test of missile autopilot systems. Generally, work under engineering leads. Analyze control systems utilizing Matlab and Simulink applications. Perform trajectory development and simulation in C++.
Education & Experience Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with 7 years of related experience.
The position may be filled one level lower requiring a Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and 4 years of related experience.
Experience in coding C++ and proficiency in Matlab.
Preferred candidate will have experience in trajectory development and simulation in C++.
