Job SummaryUse basic knowledge of aerospace engineering to assess spacecraft mission requirements for Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) components, perform trade studies, perform hardware vendor selection, technically manage the delivery of the qualified GNC components and perform integration and testing activities of the components onto the spacecraft.
Job ResponsibilitiesPerform requirements management, vendor technical monitoring and guidance, and I&T activities for Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) spacecraft component hardware. This includes the following:
1) Analyze system requirements to perform hardware component selection.
2) Develop component hardware Statement of Work (SOW).
3) Analyze, allocate and decompose higher level spacecraft mission requirements to their respective GNC components.
4) Monitoring component vendor’s development activities per the SOW.
5) Develop test procedures and automated tests of the GNC hardware to verify requirements.
6) Support spacecraft I&T activities.
7) Perform detailed spacecraft simulations using in house simulation tools.
8) Analyze data to develop performance and functional data reports to support requirements.
Education and Experience
Must have a Top Secret Security Clearance with valid background investigation
Requires BS in Engineering & 2 years or Master’s Degree in Engineering
